During this visit, PM Modi will not only disburse the installment but also participate in several programs for agriculture and launch new schemes for the development of Bihar. From this, it is very clear that the government is continuously working for the empowerment of farmers and the development of agriculture.

What is the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a flagship scheme launched by the Central Government for supporting farmers financially. Under the scheme, the government transfers ₹6,000 per annum in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each to the eligible farmers. The amount is transferred directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of the beneficiaries. The last installment, or the 18th, was released on 15th October 2024.

Why is e-KYC mandatory for the PM-Kisan Yojana?

The government has made e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) mandatory for all beneficiaries to promote transparency and avoid fraud. This ensures that only eligible farmers receive the benefits and that the funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts.
