After the 7th Pay Commission, now the demand for the same has multiplied for the 8th Pay Commission. All Central and State government employees, pensioners, and people associated with government institutions are hoping for the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. This commission will not only hike the salary but also provide improvements to dearness allowance (DA) and other allowances.

It is from quite some years since the 7th Pay Commission was formed. During this, a heavy inflation rate has caused the purchasing power of the employees to suffer. Although a DA hike is there, employees face problems in daily life. It is now very important to have an 8th Pay commission. This commission should strengthen the financial conditions of employees by giving appropriate salaries.

Now many changes are awaited in the salary setting under the 8th Pay Commission. The basic pay structure is likely to be revised under this new commission, and DA might get merged with the pay. Central and state government employees are expecting much from the 8th Pay Commission. They are hoping that through this commission, the increase will be reasonable in salary and will, therefore, improve their financial conditions. Pensioners are also expecting to gain from this commission. Employees have a feeling that under the 8th Pay Commission, salary should increase by at least 20-25%.
Increasing the demand day by day is that formation of the 8th Pay Commission. It has become imperative to have this commission for strengthening the financial state of employees and pensioners. Immediate steps should be taken by the government in this direction so that it can meet the anticipations of the employees. It will not be just a salary increase through the 8th Pay Commission but also morale to the employees.
